bon je balances à l'arrache ça se trouve ça se répète !
Try to download Windows Media Player from the Microsoft home page (
www.microsoft.com)
I spent several hours trying to find the problem with the
MMsystem002 a device ID has been used that is out of range for your system. Finally I went into the multimedia icon in the contol panel and under the midi tab there were two sound devices listed. I changed that and so ended another four to five hours of frustration
From the Windows taskbar, click the Start button.
From the Start menu, select Settings.
From the Settings menu, select Control Panel.
From the Control Panel, double-click on System.
In the System Properties dialog box, select the Device Manager tab.
In the list of devices, look between Port and System Device. There should be an entry for Sound, video and game controllers. If it is not there, the software for your sound card is not installed.
From the Windows taskbar, click the Start button.
From the Start menu, select Settings.
From the Settings menu, select Control Panel.
From the Control Panel, double-click on Multimedia, or Sounds and Multimedia.
In the Multimedia Properties dialog box, select the Audio tab.
Look at the Preferred device setting under the Playback or Sound Playback section and make sure that this setting corresponds with your sound card's manufacturer's recommendation.
I take it back - it sounds like a driver problem!
Go find the driver disk for the sound card, then boot in Safe Mode (hit F5 when it says "Starting Windows..."). Go to Device Manager (right click My Computer, or go Control Panel > System). Under the Sound section remove all the references to your sound card. There will likely be duplicates of entries - be sure to remove them all! Start with the card iteself, as this will likely remove game ports etc. automatically and save you some time.
Reboot the computer in normal mode. If the card is plug-and-play then it should be detected by Wndows and installed. Otherwise you will need to go Control Panel > Add/Remove Hardware. Tell it you want to install a specific device, and that you Have Disk. A bit of disk swapping (you ofen need the Win98 disk here too), a reboot, and you should be right.
If you card is an older one you may have to set the IRQ etc manually. The default is IRQ 5, DMAs 1 and 5, IO 220. If Windows assigns something else to those resources then you have to move one or the other.
BTW - it is usually better to add comments rather than editing the question, 'cos it makes it easier to follow the discussion.
PS : j'ai rien lu ça se trouve ça a rien a voir mais bon j'aurais essayé !
